One of my goals when founding the Lehigh University Spece Initiative was to start ambitious projects, such as nanosatellite development, and secure a launch opportunity for Lehigh University's first CubeSat. I led a team of 8+ engineers as a lead systems engineer to design OSPERY, Ocean Satellite for Plastic Research, and Environmental Yeild. OSPREY is a 3-U CubeSat with HyperScape 100 multi-spectral imaging system to track ocean plastic for Low Earth Orbit using various reflective indexes, specifically Near Infra-Red. Our team has successfully performed merit and feasibility reviews and submitted a proposal for NASA's CubeSat Launch Initiative (CLSI) in November 2023 to secure a launch opportunity.
